heads up — I think the mitochondria integration is going to need its own RFC. the import/export surface is not small. we are going to be moving most of the acquired genome into the host nucleus and then re-translocating the protein products back across two membranes. this is not a weekend.

For the file. The sync never happened. The TOM/TIM spec was written ~400 My later by someone who did not attend this thread. The 37 mtDNA genes that were never migrated are still there.
